Gather with the friends or family you can and use the order/links below to worship this morning.

We Welcome God & One Another:

  • Greeting / Call to Worship:

    • Leader: The Lord be with you Ruth 2:4

      People: And also with you.

      Leader: Our soul waits for the Lord;

People: he is our help and our shield.

Leader: For our heart is glad in him,

People: because we trust in his holy name.

ALL: Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,

even as we hope in you.

  • Have Someone Open in Prayer

  • SING:

We Confess Our Sin & Receive His Forgiveness:

  • God Calls us To Confession:

    • Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Psalm 51

  • We Confess Our Sin:

    • Lord God, we have given more weight to our successes and our happiness than to your will. We have eaten without a thought for the hungry. We have spoken without an effort to understand others. We have kept silent instead of telling the truth. We have judged others, forgetful that you alone are the Judge. We have acted rather in accordance with our opinions than according to your commands. Within your church we have been slow to practice love of our neighbors. And in the world we have not been your faithful servants. We need the power of your Holy Spirit to change us, to strengthen us, & to direct us. Forgive us and help us to live as disciples of Jesus Christ, your Son, our Savior. Amen.

  • SING or LISTEN: I Asked the Lord (Lyric Video or SongSheet)

  • God Declares Our Forgiveness:

    • I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will remove from your body the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. —Ezekiel 36:25-26

  • We Respond:

    • Leader: Lift up your hearts!

    • People: We lift them up to the Lord!

    • Leader: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God!

    • People: It is right to give Him thanks and praise!

  • SING: On Jordan’s Stormy Banks (Lyric Video or SongSheet)

We Hear From God’s Word:

  • Have Someone Pray

  • Scripture Reading:

    • 2 When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested[a] on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5 Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. 6 And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language. 7 And they were amazed and astonished, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, 11 both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians—we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.” 12 And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “What does this mean?” 13 But others mocking said, “They are filled with new wine.”

      • Leader: This is the word of our Lord.
